These businesses show support for our students by providing incentives to use as student rewards, and they show support for our teachers by donating food and other gifts of appreciation.

We had loads of fun at Field Day which was hosted at the Student Activity Center this year! Huge shout out to Coach Yarborough, Coach Proctor, and all of the parent volunteers for coordinating and serving as the ring leaders of all the day! Be sure to view our Facebook page for lots of pictures!

PTO is having its Board Elections at the General Meeting on 5/13 at @ 5:30pm in the library. Please submit a nomination form no later than 5/10 by either emailing to slastly@burnetcisd.net or dropping off to the school office. Contact PTO at sgeptoburnet@gmail.net with any questions."

As this school year ends, the RJ Richey PTO is gearing up for board elections for next year. The RJ Richey PTO is such a rewarding opportunity to get involved in your child's school. Please consider sending in a nomination for yourself or a friend who you think might be a great addition to this fun group. If you are nominating someone else, please make sure he/she is aware of the nomination and the commitment to RJR. Any questions can be asked though our Facebook page, "RJ Richey PTO".

The end of the year is an exciting time because summer is right around the corner! But we still have six weeks of school left and academic goals to meet! To help keep students focused and on track, teachers are recognizing hard work, on-task behavior, and good character with tickets! Tickets go in drawings for prizes! Let’s get to work! There are 29 prizes up for grabs (and one of those prizes is a Nintendo Switch)!

SGE's ADA for this past week was 96.39%!

ADA stands for Average Daily Attendance and is defined as the total days of student attendance divided by the total days of instruction. "98 IS Great!", so 98% is our goal!

An important piece in the family-school partnership is staying aware of student performance. It is requested that parents view and electronically sign progress reports and report cards. See the directions below, and be sure to get those signatures in! In addition, parents are encouraged to regularly view grades in Skyward.

A parent must provide an explanation for any absence within 5 days of the student’s arrival or return to school. The student must submit a note signed by the parent. The campus may accept an email from the parent sent to the school’s attendance clerk, but reserves the right to require a written note. The form below will send an email to SGE's Attendance Clerk and then the campus will determine whether to classify the absence as excused or unexcused.

Submit an email on the same day as the transportation change request by 1:30 p.m. to sge-transportation@burnetcisd.net

Include the following details in the email:

• Student’s full name
• Student’s grade level
• Student’s homeroom teacher
• The transportation change you want made for today (bus rider to car rider or car rider to bus rider)

Requests made after 1:30pm will not be processed. Notes, phone calls, text messages and emails sent to any other email will not be processed.
