Annual Stakeholder Survey - We need to hear from you!
The LCPS Annual Family Survey was sent to you on February 20. The LCPS Annual Staff, Student and Family Survey is the most extensive and influential feedback survey conducted by Loudoun County Public Schools each year. We use the results to assess the learning climate in our building and make plans for the following year. We want to hear from everyone so that we can make the best decisions for ALL our students!
The parent/family survey will only take a few minutes of your time. The email from Dr. Aaron Spence includes a link to take the survey. You will be asked to fill out a survey for each school in which you have a child enrolled (elementary, middle, high or program). For more information go to the Stakeholder Surveys 2024 Information webpage
If you did not receive a survey email, contact research@lcps.org.
Writing SOL
All students currently taking English 11 or AP English Language and Composition are required to take this two-part SOL test. It will take place over two days, March 6th and 7th starting at 9:30am (some students will test on March 11th and 12th). On Friday, February 23rd, students and families will receive an email with the dates and locations of the test as well as a reminder to bring your fully charged, school issued Chromebook on the test days. If you have any questions, please contact your English teacher or our testing coordinator, Mark Ziminsky (mark.ziminsky@lcps.org).
Credit Recovery
Please remind your students of the importance of completing quarter 2/semester 1 credit recovery work as soon as possible so they can gain the knowledge they've not yet mastered and not get too behind in quarter 3. Additionally, please be reminded that students that are referred for credit recovery during the year and do not complete it are not eligible for end-of-year recovery opportunities.
Library Closure
Starting Monday, February 26, our library will be under construction. Tech Support will move to room 1315. Additionally, the library will be closed - there will be NO passes to the library. Students should contact the librarians to arrange for resources they might need for classes. Students will also be unable to print for the next two weeks.

JCHS Choir
The All-Virginia Choir results came back, and we have two students who were accepted into the state level choir and another student as first alternate!
It is extremely difficult to get into states because our choral district has 20 high schools competing and only 4 students per voice part are accepted into the event. Maya Habtamu scored 3rd place on Alto 2 and Miriam Bijoy scored 3rd place on Alto 1. Ashleigh Niemeyer scored 5th place on Alto 1 and is the first alternate for the event. Congrats to these students and their teacher Ms. Robison!
JCHS Robotics
The JCHS Robotics Team is traveling to compete in the state championship next weekend, looking to bring a state championship home along with qualifying for the next round: World Championship. Congratulations to the Robotics Team!
JCHS Wrestling
Congratulations to the following six wrestlers, the 2nd most in school history, for advancing to the state wrestling championship due to their finishes at the regional tournament: Ramez Hana (3rd), Kason Nelson (3rd), Isa Ghorbani (2nd), Aiden Nguyen (2nd), Nate Gamble (4th), Omar Ebadi (4th). The team finished in 4th place.
