From Mrs. Hubbard, Principal
Along with the new spring season, children at Governor Winslow School have blossomed academically, athletically, and socially. Students in grades three, four, and five began the computer-based English Language Arts portion of the MCAS assessments this week, and will tackle the Math/Science portion in May. Students, parents, and teachers have worked very hard, on a daily basis, to meet the high standards set in classrooms at GWS. That is certainly the best preparation for any assessment. We consider this assessment a "celebration of knowledge" and simply ask our students for their best effort throughout the testing window. Staff members are proud of our students, and we are grateful for the continued support of our families.

Practical strategies and pro-active interventions will be discussed as participants learn new ways to prevent and respond to challenging behaviors more effectively.
Additionally - Representatives from the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education's Office of Public School Monitoring will provide a brief parent orientation about the upcoming Tiered Focus Monitoring Review of Marshfield Public Schools at the start of the evening.
