Weekly Update

Thank-you to all that volunteered and participated in the Red Cross Blood Drive. It was great to see our students take parent and wonderful to welcome community members to join as well.

A staff member reported how polite and kind our students were and this was a proud moment for me!

The PHCS Model U.N. team carried itself well at Wednesday's conference at Potsdam High School. Delegates represented their nations in the Security Council, ECOSOC (Economic and Social Council), and General Assembly. Our students debated topics such as the potential genocide in Gaza by Israel during the Israel-Hamas War, renewable energy sources to reduce carbon emissions, helping nations with climate refugees, preventing the Israel-Hamas War from escalating into a larger regional conflict, and concerns over the use of A.I. by governments in warfare and cyberwarfare. A special shout-out to Jordan Perry who represented the USA in ECOSOC and brought home a best delegate award. PHCS also won best delegation for our work in the ECOSOC committee and were authors on the winning resolution. Great work delegates!

Thank you to those that braved the weather and joined us to celebrate the accomplishments and growth of our Winter Athletes.
