Mission Statement

The Primary family is devoted to educating and inspiring all students academically, socially, and emotionally by giving our love and instilling integrity. We will model the importance of family, faith, and wisdom with our leaders of tomorrow.

Vision Statement

The vision at Pleasanton Primary School is to equip and empower a community of life-long learners with the foundation to lead and succeed in our rapidly changing world.

March Monthly Goals

ECSE

Language Arts-Students will learn the letters N, V, W along with sentence segmenting, creating a sentence and learning sight words.

Math-Students will work on counting by 5's, addition and subtraction and number identification of numbers 1-20.

Pre-K

Language Arts-Students will be able to identify 20-26 uppercase and lowercase letters and produce 16-18 sounds.

Math-Students will be able to identify 10 numbers, count 8 sets 0-10 and count to 25.

Kindergarten

Language Arts-Students will be able to read at least 37 sight words.

Math-Students will be able to solve word problems within 10.

First Grade

Language Arts-Students will spell and decode words with long o (toe, boat) and long u (chew,) stew). Comprehension: Students will identify and describe parts of nonfiction text including central idea.

Math-Students will make graphs and use data from graphs to answer questions.

Golden Feather Award Winners

February

Teachers select one student to receive a Golden Feather award at the end of each month. These students are recognized for exhibiting great character in all school settings. Students will be given a certificate, have a photo posted on social media and get a book from the PBIS vending machine.

Attendance Matters

Every day that your child attends school is another opportunity to learn something new! Our Primary attendance goal is to have 98 percent of our students attend school every day. Thank you for all that you do to support your child’s learning here at the Pleasanton Primary!

Amazing Attendance Monday

When your child attends school Monday through Friday with no absences, he/she earns a celebration on the Monday of the following week. We refer to this as Amazing Attendance Mondays.
