Our Scholastic Book Fair takes place this Wed-Fri including during the orchestra concert on Thursday evening. We are still in need of parent volunteers to staff the store. MCA testing begins this week! You can help your child show what they know by ensuring they

attend school on MCA days
get a good night's sleep
eat breakfast
charge their device
bring headphones

MCA tests this week include

Monday - Science (grade 8 only)
Tuesday - Science (grade 8 only)
Wednesday - Reading (grades 6-8 beginning promptly at 8:10am)

SCOOP THREE

Minnesota Immunization Law requires that children entering 7th grade in the 2024-25 school year are required to have a Tdap and meningococcal ACWY before the first day of school. Please contact your child’s health care provider to ensure your child is up to date on immunizations prior to the first day of school on August 27, 2024.

Thank a Teacher

May 6-10, 2024, is Teacher Appreciation Week! In addition to the many ways families, school leaders, and PTAs will thank our teachers for their work throughout that week (and year), we would like to send RPS teachers virtual cards as well.

If an RPS teacher has made an impact on you or your student(s), consider sending them a virtual card with a brief message. We will email these messages to our teachers the week of May 6-10. Forms will be open until 5 p.m. on Friday, April 12.

Please note, if students arrive prior to 8am, they will wait outside. We provide limited supervision beginning at 7:45am. Students will wait outside even in poor weather so please ensure your Comet dresses appropriately.
