Week Two Here We Come!
MYE Parents & Guardians,
This newsletter is written with great appreciation for our school community. Together as partners in education, we completed the first week of school. If you haven’t had a chance to view the video Ms. Johnson and I shared on Friday, please click here. If you haven't provided us with feedback in the Week One Parent Survey, please click the link and share your thoughts! The survey closes on Tuesday, August 25.
As we look forward to the new week, we are hopeful that the challenges experienced last week are minimal and our Leopards are able to work as needed. Please read the newsletter in its entirety. Each week I remove older items to condense the length of the newsletter. Please let us know if you have any questions about the contents of this parent communication.

Ren360 Assessment
Greetings MYE Parents and Guardians,
Last week was a great week in history and we are extremely proud of our little leopards! We wanted to start this the year by getting to know our leopards and making sure everyone had a smooth as possible transition into the 2020-2021 virtual learning school year.
As you may already know, our district uses the Renaissance Star 360 Assessment to help teachers understand what students know and what they are ready to learn next. The Ren360 assessment is administered to students in grades K-5. This will be a collaborative effort for us all. We are asking parents to utilize the aide included below for the assessment. We encourage your Leopard(s) to complete the test during asynchronous learning time, but we understand that this may not be the ideal time for your family. Therefore, the REN360 assessment can either be completed during asynchronous time or a time most convenient for your family. Most importantly, please allow your Leopard to make independent decisions during testing.
Teachers will reach out to parents on Thursday, August 27 to check in with with students who have not completed their assessment. The deadline for this beginning of the year assessment is August 31. If you have questions, please contact Ms. Johnson, Assistant Principal at 281-327-5705 or Sherree.Johnson@Fortbendisd.com.
