On May 1, the PTSA will begin accepting nominations for one (1) parent representative to serve for the 2024-2025 academic year on the School Based Decision-Making Council at Second Street School for a two-year term. Anyone interested in running for this position must complete the SBDM Nomination Form.

The School Based Decision-Making Council makes important decisions regarding Second Street School. We encourage all qualified candidates to consider running for election for this available seat and also attend the council meetings. Our parent representatives give families a voice in the decision-making process.

The PTSA is organizing Field Day, and we still need volunteers for our middle school events. Volunteers will oversee stations, and the PTSA will provide guidance about assigned activities. Teachers and administrators will also be present to manage students during Field Day.

Join us on May 14 at 5:30 p.m. for our last General Meeting of the school year in the SSS Cafeteria. Please help us plan food and childcare needs by completing the attendance sign-up form.

We will be holding PTSA Board elections at this meeting. The president, treasurer, and secretary positions are open for nominations. Please email nominations to sssfrankfort@gmail.com. Nominees must be a PTSA member and in good standings. Nominations will be accepted until Saturday, May 5, and slated positions will be announced on May 8. Anyone who wishes to run for a position that is already slated must reach out to the Secretary Cathy Lindsay (or Treasurer if Secretary is the Nominating Chair), by 5 p.m. the day prior to the meeting. No nominations will be accepted from the floor during the meeting for slated positions.
