Graduation: May 14, 2024 @ 7pm - First National Bank Arena
Senior Lunch: May 14, 2024 @ 11am - Location TBD
Practice will immediately follow lunch at First National Bank Arena. Parents (please only parents) are welcome to attend the lunch. We will be sending an email asking for help to cook and serve lunch.
All seniors should have ordered their cap and gown at this point. If they have not, they need to go to Brown's Graduation and order, or go to https://brownsgrad.com/ and order.
Reminder that Mrs. Clairday is available to assist students with college applications, scholarships, financial aid, career assessments, and resumes.
If parents/seniors need assistance completing the FAFSA application please reach out to Mrs. Clairday. Once your student completes the application, they need to make sure the college they plan to attend does not need any additional documents. Typically, the college will send the student an email if additional information is needed. Students will need to review the financial aid awards given by the college. Students then will need to accept or decline the offers. If a student's financial situation has changed since completing the FAFSA then they will need to reach out to the financial aid office at the college they plan to attend, and request a meeting. If students plan to take out a loan, they will need to complete the Master Promissory Note and complete loan counseling through studentaid.gov.

Theater
The Brookland High School Theatre Dept presents “Peter and the Starcatcher” on April 6-8 at the Brookland Performing Arts Center.
Saturday, April 6 at 7pm, Sunday, April 7 at 2pm, and Monday, April 8 at 7pm. Tickets are $10 and are available online at www.showtix4u.com/events/brooklandstarcatcher
Peter and the Starcatcher is a play with music that is a prequel to “Peter Pan”; it provides a backstory for the characters of Peter Pan, Mrs Darling, Tinker Bell and Hook.
“Peter and the Starcatcher" follows a young orphan and his mates who are shipped off from Victorian England to a distant island ruled by an evil King. On board, they know nothing of the mysterious trunk in the captain’s cabin, which contains a precious, otherworldly cargo. While at sea, the boys are discovered by a precocious young girl named Molly, a Starcatcher-in-training who realizes that the trunk’s precious cargo is a celestial substance so powerful that it must never fall into the wrong hands. When the ship is taken over by pirates, led by the fearsome Black Stache, the journey quickly becomes a thrilling adventure. In the end, the young orphan finds a new adventure, a new home, and a new name: Peter Pan.

WOLF
The Work-Based Learning Opportunities Leading to Future Employment (WOLF)program offers students work-based, paid and non-paid learning opportunities on campus and off campus. This is an effort to ensure students with disabilities are afforded the opportunity to gain work readiness training skills and work experiences prior to exiting the secondary setting. This year the WOLF students in Ms. Pope’s program have worked in various worksites on campus including the Cafeteria, IT Department, and Concession Stand. This program has been very successful as former students of the program have been hired as full time employees in the IT Department and Cafeteria on Brookland Campus, and AR Pet Hospital, Kidz R Us, and the former Danny’s Restaurant.
