Message from the Principal
I hope everyone had a safe, relaxing Spring Break. I have some tremendous news! Recently, St. Clairsville Middle School was recognized by the Ohio Department of Education for the "Momentum Award." This award is given to schools that improve their performance index by 3 or more points over the previous school year's report card and receive a progress rating of 4 or more stars. STCMS was 1 of 310 buildings to receive this distinction out of over 3,600 school buildings in the state. Congratulations and "Thank You" to our students, staff and parents for all you do to carry on the tradition of academic excellence at St. Clairsville Schools!
~Mr. McKeever

Middle School Gifted Students Excel at "Summit"
On March 19-20, 2024, St. Clairsville Middle School's gifted 7th and 8th-grade students, under the guidance of Mrs. Husek, took part in the annual United States Legislative Summit, also known as the Ohio Legislative Summit, at Salt Fork Lodge & Conference Center.
This program provides a simulated platform for gifted students to delve into the intricate processes of both state and federal legislation. Divided into teams, each representing a designated state, students crafted their own innovative bill proposals, which were meticulously presented and debated during model legislative sessions. Moreover, students went beyond the legislative realm by developing websites, engaging commercials, and culturally enriching displays, elevating the depth and impact of their research and overall projects. Among the eight schools and 120+ students at the event, our students were awarded as follows.
