This week we will begin VTCAP Testing. I have included the testing schedule for the week. Please remember - this is subject to change for a variety of reasons (high number of student absences, teacher absence, etc.).
Tuesday - (3/26) 5th grade - Math from 8:30 - 10:00 & 6th grade - LA from 12:30 -2:00
Wednesday - (3/27) 5th grade - Math from 8:30 - 10:00, 3rd/4th - Math from 10:00 - 11:30 & 6th grade LA from 12:30 - 2:00
Thursday - (3/28) 6th grade - Math from 8:30 - 10:00, 3rd/4th - Math from 10:00 - 11:30, & 8th grade - Science from 12:30 - 2:00
Friday - (3/29) 6th grade - Math from 8:30 - 10:00 & 8th grade - Science from 12:30 - 2:00
This past Wednesday, we discovered MOJO caffeine packets in our middle school. Each Mojo Pouch is filled with 50 mg of caffeine, (and other ingredients). These pouches also come in a variety of flavors and are being sold at a local store. These pouches can cause headaches, irregular heartbeats, nausea, sores on the gums and in the mouth, and lead to increased behavioral issues in the classroom. We had a spike in disruptive and disrespectful behaviors on Wednesday - which may be linked to this substance. I am requesting that you help us keep these caffeine packets out of our school.
The lost and found items are piling up once again. Please have your child(ren) look to see if anything there belongs to them. You may also reach out to the classroom teacher if you are missing any items of clothing, jackets, snow pants, boots, water bottles, lunch boxes, shoes, etc.
Please mark your calendars for April 23rd. We are currently planning another fun filled family event for that evening. More information will be sent home as we finalize the plans.
The end of the second trimester was March 21st. Report cards are scheduled to go home on Friday the 29th. Please read the updated Grading and Reporting document below.
