Dear parents and carers.
How is it Friday again already!. The week ended with a fantastic worship from Jean King class, where they shared some of the great learning they have been doing. One of the things they included was the work they did a few weeks ago to persuade the relevant authorities that the community would be safer with a reduced speed limit outside our school. As a school, we want our children to leave us with an understanding of the difference they can make in our world, and of the importance of being an active member of their community. It was lovely to see how proud Jean King children were of the work they did on this, and we hope they will hear soon that they have been successful.
On Thursday evening, the Friends of Kirk Fenton team met to discuss their upcoming events. The summer fair will take place on Saturday 29th June from 11am - 2pm on the school grounds. This looks set to be a fun, family and community event and will finish with a 'colour run' which will be a lovely way to celebrate how fantastically diverse we all are. Please put the date in your diaries; we are crossing our fingers for much better weather this year! If you are able to help on the day, please get in touch. The Friends work incredibly hard to raise valuable funds for the school, with the money raised from this year's events funding equipment for the playground which will transform our playtimes.
Thank you as always for all of your support this week. Have a lovely weekend. It looks like we may actually get some spring sunshine to enjoy!

They spoke excellently and displayed all their fabulous learning. Lastly, EY and Y1 students had a special treat when Farmer Carl (a local farmer from Ulleskelf) brought in Henny the hen and Larry the lamb! Everyone really enjoyed seeing the animals! See you next week.
