PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Hello Everyone,
I want to take a moment to express my gratitude to our entire community for the incredible support, compassion, and strength you've shown in the wake of Sheryl Miller's passing. This week has been an incredibly difficult one for all of us, but seeing the way our community has come together to support one another, our students, and our school staff has been very comforting.
In times like these, the true strength of our community shines through, and it's a testament to the bonds we share. Your kindness, empathy, and willingness to stand by one another during this time have not gone unnoticed, and I am continually humbled by the depth of caring within our community.
Wishing you all a wonderful and healing long weekend.
Warmly,
Amanda
DEAN OF STUDENT'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As we embrace the warmth of the spring season and the final weeks of the school year here at Eagle Crest, we're reminded of the strong sense of community we share. We cherish the connections we have with each family as they arrive and leave school each day, especially as many have the opportunity to walk, bike, or scooter to school.
We'd like to remind everyone of a few important things related to the change in season and increased foot traffic at school. Firstly, we kindly ask that all families refrain from bringing pets onto school grounds during the day. This simple measure ensures the safety and comfort of everyone. Exceptions are, of course, made for service animals and police dogs, which are always welcome.
Additionally, as we navigate through the unpredictable spring weather, it's important to remember the challenge students face in keeping track of coats, sweatshirts, and extra layers. Our Lost and Found has once again filled up with these items, so we encourage everyone to stop by and claim any missing items.
Lastly, as we approach the end of the year, we remind families to secure their bikes and scooters while at school. Unfortunately, instances of items going missing have occurred in previous years, so please take a moment to lock up your bikes and scooters to ensure everything stays safe and accounted for.
Thank you for all you do to make Eagle Crest a safe and enjoyable place for every student!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney
Dean of Students
Eagle Crest Elementary

PTO UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
We and the entire Eagle Crest community mourn the loss of Sheryl Miller. My heart is with the Eagles Landing families, who knew and loved Sheryl so well. Entrusting Sheryl with the care of our children highlighted how vital and respected she was in our community. We are grateful to the Eagle Crest staff; though they lost a colleague and dear friend this week, they continue to provide stability and safety to our students as we navigate this grief together.
Sincerely,
Katie Lancaster, PTO President

2024 - 2025 OPTIONAL CLASS PLACEMENT INPUT - APRIL 30th
At Eagle Crest, we very much value the support and partnership from families as we work together to provide a thoughtful and well-rounded education in every classroom, every day. When creating classes, staff take into account the academic, social, and behavioral strengths and needs of each student as well as creating balanced classroom communities. We would like to ask families for your thoughts related to your child's strengths and needs in regards to their learning as we determine class placements for next school year. Please Note: we do not accept requests for specific teachers. Please take a few moments to complete this optional survey, which will remain open until April 30th at 4pm.
