This week is National School Breakfast Week! Let's support our cafeteria staff and enjoy a good breakfast this week! And...it's free!! Breakfast begins at 7:15 am.

We are excited about National Read Across America Week! Students have the opportunity to participate in dress up days listed below and please check out the information for the Book Blitz beginning Monday as well!

We will be having a Book Blitz this week! Each classroom at BES will be participating in this event. Classrooms will be doing read alouds, small group reading, silent reading, guest readers...reading in a variety of ways! Each classroom will have a Book Blitz winner that reads the most books next week and will receive a prize. Each classroom and grade have adapted the Blitz according to what is best for them. Teachers will let you know specific details. It's going to be a fun, reading week!!

We will be conducting our 27 week tests beginning on March 11th. The majority of our testing will take place from March 11-March 18th. This is the practice test that most mirrors the EOGs at the end of the year and is a great way for us to see how your child is progressing. Please make sure you child is here on time and eats breakfast during this testing window. Also, please encourage them to do their very best. Thank you!!

It's time to order your 2023-2024 Bethel Yearbook. The final day to order is March 20th. Yearbooks are $25 and can be ordered two ways. You can place your order online or you can send $25 in your child's agenda.

For online ordering please visit strawbridge.net, click "order pictures and yearbooks" and enter code YB27670. After filling out your information you must click "select" and "add to cart" before checking out for the order to go through.

If you are not ordering online please send the exact change $25 or a check made out to "Bethel Elementary School" in a labeled envelope with your child's first and last name, grade level and teacher's name.

Personalization of yearbooks is only available online.

We will be having our second Lockdown drill of the year on Thursday, March 7th. We will also be having our annual Tornado drill. Both drills generally take anywhere from 5- 10 minutes to complete. Law enforcement and first responders will again be at our lockdown drill and do a great job helping us make sure our students and staff know how to always be safe. Please talk to your children about these upcoming drills and that we do these to keep all of us safe. Thanks!

We will be having Spring Pictures on March 28th. Students will be taking their group/class photo, along with individual photos.

Last year for our first annual Spring Fling, we took donations of store bought cakes and candy for our cake walks and prizes. We definitely need those items again this year, but we also need items for our baskets we are auctioning off.

This year our Silent Auction will be themed baskets and in order for them to be successful, we could use your help! We will be having at least 10 baskets in our Silent Auction and need gift cards and items to fill them. Here are some of the baskets we will be trying to fill and auction off:

- Pamper Me Basket (nail, spa, and hair care gift cards) Other pamper me items.

If you know anyone that owns a business that might be willing to donate items, or if you are willing to purchase a gift card or item, we would really appreciate it!
