Dear East Hill Families,
I hope this message finds you well. I want to take a moment to extend my congratulations to our 3rd and 4th grade students for completing their NYS English Language Arts assessment this week. Your hard work and dedication have not gone unnoticed, and we are incredibly proud of each and every one of you.
I would also like to extend a sincere thank you to our Camillus Middle School and WG High School Symphonic Bands for their fantastic school-wide performance for our East Hill students. It was truly a delightful experience for everyone in attendance!
As we approach spring break next week, I want to wish all of our East Hill families a wonderful and relaxing time off. May this break be filled with laughter, joy, and special moments with your loved ones.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership in your child's education. Enjoy the break, recharge, and come back ready to tackle the rest of the school year!
Warm regards,
~Susan

Universal Pre-Kindergarten Registration Is Now Open
West Genesee partners with local Community-Based Organizations (CBO) for its Pre-K program.
To be eligible for UPK during the 2024-2025 school year, a child must:
- Have a birthdate between December 2, 2019 and December 1, 2020
- Reside in the West Genesee Central School District
In the event that more registrations are received than can be accommodated, the District will conduct an initial selection process via an open lottery in which children will be selected at random.
Those children who have completed the registration process by May 1, 2024 will be part of the initial selection process.
Families who were part of the initial selection process will be called in order of selection and informed:
- whether their child has been accepted to the program, and
- which site (including hours of the program) is available for their child;
OR
- where their child is on the waiting list.
Families will be contacted by May 2-3, 2024.
If at any point after the initial selection process there are more students registered than seats available, students will be placed on the waiting list in the order that their registration was completed.
Transportation to and from the program is the responsibility of the parents/guardians, and students must attend the program five days a week to maintain their seat.
Look for registration information on the Central Registration webpage at:
http://www.westgenesee.org/district-services/registration/. If you have any questions, email the Central Registrar at centralregistrar@westgenesee.org, or call Central Registration at at (315) 487-4683.

- proof of age
2024 Art Exhibits at Maxwell Memorial Library
Each year, our schools rotate exhibits of student artwork at the Maxwell Memorial Library. This is a long standing and deeply valuable collaboration for our department, teachers, students and community. Please check out the schedule and stop by to see the work our students have produced...and see what the library has to offer. It's an amazing space!
Check out Maxwell Memorial Library for hours of operation.
Students to Receive Free Breakfast and Lunch Meals
We are pleased to announce that all students enrolled at West Genesee CSD will be able to receive a FREE breakfast and lunch meal at school beginning December 1.
This implementation is a result of the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) expanding access to the federal Community Eligibility Provision (CEP). CEP allows eligible schools participating in the National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs to offer school meals at no charge to all students.
What does this mean for your child(ren) attending the school(s) identified above?
Effective 12/1/2023, all students enrolled at West Genesee CSD will be able to receive one free breakfast and one free lunch each school day regardless of the family’s household income. Milk is free with a full meal. No further action is required of you.
If you have any further questions, please contact Food Service at 315-487-4661.
Please click here to read a message to parents about free meals for students.
