On Wednesday, April 3, the FACE Committee hosted the Hugh Mercer Patriots and the Lafayette Lions for the 2024 Family/Faculty March Madness Tournament championship trophy for the second year in a row. It was an incredibly exciting and close game. The Patriots clenched this year's win, with a final score of 49 to the Lions' 35. The gym was filled with another year of record-breaking numbers of FCPS families and friends!

Members of the Girls and Boys Basketball teams played a fun game of musical chairs with a twist at halftime. The Hugh Mercer and Lafayette student cheerleaders showed great enthusiasm as they entertained the crowds.

Last week, our James Farmers Scholars (Grades 3-8) took a field trip to the Fredericksburg Area Museum (FAM) to learn more about the history of Fredericksburg.

Last week, Walker-Grant Middle School honored 6th, 7th, and 8th grade scholars who were recognized for their exceptional attendance, grades, and academic grit during the third quarter. Congratulations!
