We had a great week back and enjoyed starting today with our key winners. We have so many amazing students and it's fun to celebrate all of their hard work.

One request we have for families is to have students with cell phones keep their phone in backpacks all day. If a phone call is necessary, we will use a school phone to contact you. Additionally, smart watches are a tool for checking time at school and should not be used for calling or messaging. Our focus is student learning and we work hard to minimize distractions and help students focus on schoolwork.

This coming Monday all students in grades 5 and 6 will participate in Clubs during Specials time. Students were able to choose between seven different activities and we are excited to begin.

We also have a schoolwide skating night on Monday, March 25th at Sk8away for $4 a person. This is not a school fundraiser, but is an opportunity for students to have some fun.

This is a reminder that we will be showing the maturity videos on Friday March 29th. The 5th grade classes will view the videos at 2:30 pm and 6th grade will follow at 3:00pm. Please see the attached link to view the videos. If you would like for your student to not participate in these videos please email your child's teacher directly by Thursday, March 28.

As an elementary principal I enjoy working collaboratively with staff members to support student learning. I am passionate about continuing to learn professionally, and building relationships with staff and students at Berryton Elementary. When I'm not serving at Berryton Elementary I am usually with my husband and two sons. We can be found at sporting events, cheering on Kansas State University, or just enjoying a movie at home.
