Wrestling
The Wildcats wrestling team will be starting offseason practice after school on Tuesday April 23. Practice will be at Barton Junior high School from 4pm until about 5:30pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the remainder of the school year. Any boys and girls interested in joining the wrestling team should stop by Coach Townsend’s room - 1417 - in the math hallway or email him expressing interest in joining. Anyone interested who is currently in a spring sport can still sign up to join the program. Wrestling is a winter sport that takes place from November through February, and it is an Arkansas Activities Association varsity sport for both boys and girls. El Dorado is currently a 5A program, which is the second highest classification in wrestling. The program is coming off of its most successful season yet, with its first individual state champion this past season. We would love to have more student-athletes be a part of the program and continue to build off a great season.
