Celebrating Inclusion!
I cannot express how proud I am of the work our students did during the ELA MCAS this week. This was a long test with a lot of writing and our students persevered, worked hard, and so many staff members noted this excellent work! So THANK YOU, to all of our students during this tough week!
We will be scheduling make-up sessions starting today.
Celebrating Inclusion!
This upcoming week the Norwood Public Schools is celebrating inclusion. We believe that all students have a place in our schools and it takes all of our students, staff and families to create an effective and inclusive community! We encourage everyone to join us this week for the Inclusion Spirit Week!
Monday - Spread Love and Kindness! Wear the color red as we place positive messages around CMS and the Norwood Community!
Tuesday - Hats Off to Inclusion! Wear a hat that represents something about you!
Wednesday - Peace, Love, and Tie Day! Dress up in your best tie-dye to show how we all blend together as ONE community!
Thursday - Everybody Counts! Wear your favorite number to show that everybody counts in school and in life.
Friday - We are a Team! Wear your Norwood Gear and colors (blue & gold) to show we are all one team!
Solar Eclipse
On Monday, we will be taking students outside around 2:40 for a glimpse of the solar eclipse. We have purchased glasses for all students to ensure safety. If students have their own solar eclipse glasses, they are welcome to bring them in. If your student would prefer not to go outside for the eclipse, we will have teachers that remain in the building.
New Clubs and Activities
Coding Club: Coding Club started back up this week and will continue on Wednesdays from 3:30-4:10 in room 109. Check your student email for a Google Sign up from Dr. Fraczek!
Boys Tennis at NHS: Attention 8th grade boys! You can play with varsity tennis team (would still be able to play 4 years of high school sports) this spring. Experience helpful, but you can also practice with the team if they are not ready for varsity. Please direct any questions to: Coach John Churchill (jchurchill@norwood.k12.ma.us) & jlongley@norwood.k12.ma.us
