Closing Out the Season

Last week, the JV Team finished their undefeated season with a 15-3 win over Lodi! Congratulations to all of the girls on their successful season and their continued dominance over our JV competition! Many players grew leaps and bounds throughout the season, and we cannot wait to see what you will have to offer next year!


This week, Varsity enters the WIAA Subsectionals on the road to State on Monday! Play begins at 9:00am at Nielsen Tennis Stadium on the UW-Madison campus. Players in the #1 Singles and #1 Doubles flights need to win their first/only match tomorrow to move on to WIAA Sectionals on Thursday. Players in the #2-4 Singles and #2-3 Doubles flights need to win two matches tomorrow to move on to WIAA Sectionals on Thursday. Any loss = end of the season!

Departure:

Vans will be departing the high school at 7:30am SHARP!

  • We are still waiting to hear from the district on confirmations of the vans.
  • If there are any parents who plan to attend, please let me know. You may be our backup!


Location:

Nielsen Tennis Stadium, UW-Madison

1000 Highland Ave., Madison, WI 53705

  • They have installed machines where you get a ticket. The parking fee is based on the time in the ramp. Payment is by credit card only. There may be “Special Event Parking” at the ramps, which normally costs $10.00.


Tournament Information:

  • Play begins at 9:00am.
  • There are 38 matches to be played, and it is done so in reverse order (#4 Singles, #3 Doubles, etc.)
  • The tournament should be completed by 1:30pm - 2:00pm, unless the UW Tennis Team needs to practice inside from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

  • #1 Singles: Quinlyn Mack (Match #26 vs. Middleton)
  • #2 Singles: Gaia Citro (Match #18 vs. Oregon)
  • #3 Singles: Jordan O'Connor (Match #10 vs. Verona)
  • #4 Singles: Anna Ballweg (Match #1 vs. Madison Memorial)

  • #1 Doubles: Aimee Maasch/Haley Greenheck (Match #24 vs. Waunakee)
  • #2 Doubles: Hannah Helt/Camdyn Kastelitz (Match #15 vs. Madison Memorial)
  • #3 Doubles: Emily Querio/Grace Fauerbach (Match #7 vs. Waunakee)



The court assignments are being arranged so players from the same team will be near one another on the courts. Anna, Jordan, and #3 Doubles will be out immediately at 9:00am.

Awards Banquet

We will be arranging an End-of-the-Season Awards Banquet in the next week or two. I will be in contact with you to share the date, time, and location. If there are any parents who would like to help coordinate food, please let me know!

Tennis Apparel

This is a reminder that all "first print/small logo" clothing should either be returned or purchased for $5.00/item. At this time, about half of the clothing orders have been resolved; however, there are several items left unreturned or unpaid for. Please take care of this, as the money will be coming out of our tennis account.

Support Soccer

In an effort to support our Partner Team, the Boys' Soccer Team, I would like some volunteers to create locker decorations for their lockers and to attend their two important home games, October 15th and October 18th. If you are interested in coordinating this, please let me know!
