Participants will explore the transformative insights provided by "Long-Term Success for Experienced Multilinguals," a guide that challenges conventional views of long-term English learners (LTELs) and reframes the narrative around secondary multilingual students. This course is designed to empower educators with instructional practices and strategies that affirm the linguistic, cultural, and experiential assets that multilinguals bring into the classroom. This course is an opportunity for educators to unlock the untapped potential within experienced multilingual students, fostering an environment where they can express themselves as proficient mathematicians, scientists, historians, writers, and artists. Join us in this transformative journey towards creating inclusive and empowering learning spaces for multilingual learners.
A $200 stipend will be provided to participants who complete the course requirements. The stipend will be provided by Title III funds which are intended to improve education for English Learners.
