8th Grade Trip to BOCES

On February 14th, our 8th grade students got a tour and introduction to the programs offered at DCMO BOCES. Our students enjoyed the time, and were very interested in the information they learned on that trip. We are always trying to get students to look forward to what comes after high school, whether that is college, career training, the military, or another path. This was the first in our series of events this spring for our middle school students, and we are looking forward to many more this spring for students.

For anyone who would like to learn more about the CTE programs available at BOCES, there is an open house at the DCMO BOCES campus in Norwich on March 7th from 5:30-7:00. Students can start BOCES programs in their Junior year of high school if they are interested in these programs.

College and Career Series

In our efforts to help students think past Middle School, and even past High School, we have a series of experiences for our students to learn about opportunities and to future think. We are always working to help them prepare for their next steps in life.

On March 26th, our 6th grade students will go to SUNY Morrisville to learn about their college programs. We are very excited about this experience for our students.

On April 17 and 18, our 7th grade students will go to Raymond Industries to learn about programs they have and opportunities after high school. They have a great program to expose students to opportunities and possible career choices.

8th Grade students will engage in learning during our Spring Career Day as well as possibly a college visit (still in the works). The Career Day is always an exciting event for our kids as they prepare for high school.

We are very excited about these events as we work to connect the work they do daily in their classrooms!!

Catch our MS Students in the HS Musical this Weekend

There are 8 middle school student's in the high school's production of Big Fish this weekend. Come check out their hard work in this awesome performance!!

NJHS News!!

National Junior Honor Society volunteered time throughout their school days prior to Winter Break by packing 750 Tick supply kits for the Chenango County Public Health.

Each Family CharacterDare offers families the opportunity to engage in challenges designed to increase connection and conversation at home. These CharacterDare challenges also provide students with more opportunities to practice habits discussed in class.

Attendance Matters!!

Keeping your teen on track with school. We are nearly through January. This year is flying by. We are really focusing on school attendance this year because showing up gives your teen the best chances for success. Here are some ways you can help keep your teen on track by paying attention to attendance.
