Principal's Message

Dear Vista Families,


Kindergarten, 2nd, and 5th grade students have their mandatory vision and hearing screening next Wednesday. A hard copy notice was sent out on Thursday, March 21st. Please see the attached notice beneath my message.


Our Walk -a -thon fundraising event will take place on March 29th. I am looking forward to becoming a giant sundae as an incentive for students who raise just $20.00 for the event. The more participants we have at the $20.00 mark, the messier I get! You can also purchase a Juice it Up drink for your child to enjoy after the walk-a-thon. Please see the details beneath my message.


Spring break will be from Monday April 1st- Friday, April 5th. We will see everyone back on campus on Monday April 8th.

An Important Note about Attendance

Just a reminder that Excused Absences due to personal reasons are as listed below. Reasons other than those listed are considered unexecused absences. This is a mandate by the State of California.


  1. Family funeral
  2. Appearances in court
  3. Holiday or ceremony of student’s religion or culture
  4. Family emergency (verifiable)


When you leave a message on the attendance line, please clarify the reason. Thank you for bringing your child to school everyday.

iPad Insurance

During the first week of school, teachers will send out an iPad check out form. Please be sure to return this form as soon as possible. iPads will not be sent home until this form is returned to your classroom teacher. Enclosed is the iPad insurance form. For a nominal fee, you can insure your child's iPad for the entire school year.
