Description
Prevent Coalition is a group of volunteers and leaders across Southwest Washington who work towards building resiliency and preventing youth substance misuse.
We, along with several local partners and coalitions, are hosting an annual Elevate Youth Summit on Thursday May 30, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.
We welcome prevention clubs, youth groups, teens and classes to join us in this youth gathering about empowerment, wellness, substance use prevention and more.

Objectives
By the end of this day-long event, participants will have:
- Created a space to form meaningful connections with other caring youth,
- Felt empowered as an agent of change and a leader in their community,
- Engaged in a variety of activities and content relevant to prevention, wellness, and youth leadership.

Details
Approach:
- This is an in-person training event designed for Middle School-aged youth. High school students are welcomed to join and can support younger participants through mentorship and leading breakout activities
- Training sessions will be facilitated by the keynote and youth leaders from the local area.
- Sessions will be interactive and engaging, combining large group work with breakout activities.
- Lunch is provided and catered on-site during the break
- Certificates provided upon request

The statewide Rural Network is a gathering of rural people who support youth in their journey to whole health. We convene monthly to plan projects, train, share best practices with one another from the field and collaborate across our geographical boundaries.
