Your children's classroom teachers have many fun hands-on projects this month and there are some exciting field trips.

Spring Break March 29-April 5: No School

Monday, April 8- EARLY DISMISSAL- UPK 2:00 PM, Grades K-5 2:25. Solar Eclipse! We will be doing lots of learning about this special event!

Tuesday, April 9- 24-25 UPK Lottery Night: 6-7 PM High School Auditorium- students will be randomly selected for enrollment to our 5 hour Universal Pre-Kindergarten program for the 24-25 school year. We are happy to partner with the YMCA again and they are using software to conduct the live drawing.

Tuesday, April 9- PEP Meeting 6-7 in the Elementary Library. Come help plan our upcoming event, "The Fun Run!"

Tuesday, April 16-24-25 Kindergarten Parent Orientation Night: 6-7 PM Elementary School Cafeteria. Parents of students are five by December 1, 2024 are invited to attend this informational night and meet some important people who will work with your children. We will discuss registration, screening, K readiness program, and programs offered to our students.

Monday April 22, and Tuesday 23- NYS Testing ELA Grades 3 & 4

Wednesday April 24, and Thursday 25- NYS Testing ELA Grade 5

In anticipation of the Solar Eclipse on April 8, we are sending home one pair of safety glasses with every student and staff member. The glasses were purchased by PEP for the elementary school. The glasses do meet the safety requirements of NASA, however it is recommended to use extreme caution and with adult supervision.

NASA Requirements can be found here. You will find the compliant international standards listed on the inside of the glasses.

We hope everyone enjoys this celestial event!

The School's Out Program is excited to announce the upcoming 2024-2025 Early Registration will begin in April for both current students and anticipated incoming Kindergarteners. Information will be sent directly to parties in March. Open 2024-2025 Registration will commence on May 3rd, and additional details will be shared in April.

For the ongoing school year, we still have openings in our After School program for 2nd through 5th graders. Please note that this registration is separate from the 2024-2025 School Year registration. For any inquiries, kindly contact our School’s Out Coordinator at Cicccolellaq@schuylerville.org.

• Start exploring some local nature trails! Spring is a beautiful time to see our region spring back to life.
• Don't stress about state tests. They are just a couple of days of testing that are one data point.
• Ways to reduce stress for your children is to make sure they get a good night's sleep, a healthy breakfast, and arrive to school on time.
