Message from the Program Director
Hello CLA Families,
Thank you parents and scholars who attended Conferences. The high school staff values your partnership and truly enjoyed the time spent with each one of you during Conferences. Thank you for taking the time to meet with us and discuss your scholar's academic progress and goals.
With Spring Break behind us, we are ready to forge ahead into the final quarter of the year. There is a lot of learning left to be done, and we can't wait to see the growth in our scholars. On the horizon we have state testing (11th grade only), Prom, and Graduation planning. We have Spring Term for Pathways scholars, Friday Enrichment Activities, a college and career tour, and Honors Night too! A lot of learning and a lot of memories to be made!
If you haven't already started following us, CLA is on instagram. @claoregon. Check it out to see the GREAT things our scholars are doing every day.
Proud to serve at CLA,
Jennifer Evans

Mrs. Bateman
Mrs. Bateman is a local to Southern Oregon. She is passionate about challenging her scholars to learn more and never settle for less. She is a dedicated Language Arts and Math teacher and CLA scholars are lucky to have her!
In her spare time, she enjoys fishing, rock collecting, and shooting her bow in the great outdoors. On her outdoor adventures, she will most likely pack some Dr. Pepper and Tim's Salt & Vinegar chips for sustenance as she quotes some lines from her favorite show, The Office.
We love having Mrs. Bateman as part of the CLA Team!
Ms. Stone
Ms. Stone will serve has an instructional assistant in the HS Learning Center, and she is eager to form connections with our scholars to help them learn. Please give her a warm welcome!

April's Scholar Spotlight is on Peyton Hoefft. Peyton is a Junior at CLA and she is fully embracing the vision of "Every Student Graduates +". Peyton is an independent learner who consistently exemplifies academic excellence in her coursework. She has also participated in academic competitions such as the SOU Scavenger Hunt and Brain Bowl with exuberance. In addition to this, Peyton is connecting her passions and skills to her future goals.
Peyton's long-term career goal is to study Psychiatry to become a Pediatric Psychiatrist. This is her second year as a Pathways Academy scholar at CLA working toward an Associated Degree at Rogue Community College. Peyton continually challenges herself in making significant gains towards her goals.
In her spare time, Peyton is also a devoted thespian. She has participated in Advanced Theatre at EPHS through CLA's Extended Elective option for the last two years. Currently, Peyton is set to perform in Dreaming of Midsummer at Modern Prometheans, a small local theatre here in the valley. Upcoming show dates are April 25th-28th and May 2nd-5th.
