As we continue our celebration of International Women’s Month, our hearts are thankful for our ACE afterschool leaders, Ms. Noey and Ms. Ashley! Thank you for all that you do to support students and families through enriching programming and whole family events. We appreciate you!
Let’s talk attendance! To get the learning going and increase your child’s academic level, it is imperative that students are in attendance everyday. Remember to opt-in for our Rent Rewards Attendance Incentive program. Get more details on campus.

Hi Oak Springs Families! March is almost here, and we have some exciting library events happening. Our Read Across America Spirit Week is coming up the week of March 4th. Please check out the flyer for additional information. That same week, we also have our spring book giveaway when students will get to take home a free book. Thursday, March 7th is our spring puppet show for grades Pre-K 3 to 2nd , and Friday, March 8th is our Guest Reader Day. Wishing everyone a Happy Spring!
¡Hola familias de Oak Springs! Marzo ya casi está aquí y tenemos algunos eventos interesantes en la biblioteca. Nuestra Semana del Espíritu de Lectura en Todo Estados Unidos se acerca la semana del 4 de marzo. Consulte el folleto para obtener información adicional. This year marks Austin ISD’s 10th year celebrating and recognizing Pride and the theme is “A Decade of Pride.” Pride Week takes place March 18–23, 2024, and aligns with National LGBT Health Awareness Week. Join Students, Staff, and Families from across the district at the Performing Arts Center (PAC) to celebrate A Decade of Pride from 10 am - 1 pm.

Central Texas Food Bank - Social Services
The Central Texas Food Bank’s social services team is continuing to assist clients with applying for SNAP (along with Medicaid, TANF, Healthy Texas Women, Medicare Savings Program, CHIP and CHIP Perinatal). We offer help with applications remotely and on-site. Our offices are located at 6500 Metropolis Drive, Austin, Texas 78744.
For the safety of our staff and the community we serve, we have implemented social distancing models and can see a limited number of clients at one time on-site at the Food Bank. To get help with applications on-site, please call our hotline to make an appointment first at 855-366-3401.
