PRINCIPAL'S UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
I hope this email finds you all in high spirits and enjoying the arrival of spring! As we gear up for some outdoor fun, I'm thrilled to announce our upcoming (and first ever!) Eagle Crest Bike Fest, scheduled for Sunday, April 14th, from 1 to 4 PM.
This event promises to be a fantastic opportunity for our community to come together and enjoy a delightful afternoon filled with bike-centric activities and safety education. Here's a sneak peek at what we have in store for you:
Bike "Rodeo" Skills Course: Test your bike handling skills and brush up on the rules of the road in our engaging skills course.
Learn to Ride Area: Whether you're new to cycling or looking to ditch those training wheels, our instructors will be on hand to provide guidance and support.
Helmet Decorating Table: Get creative and add some flair to your helmet with reflective and fun decorations. Safety can be stylish too!
Bike Mechanics: Our team of experts will be available to inspect and make minor adjustments or repairs to any bike, ensuring that everyone rides safely.
Feel free to drop in at any time during the afternoon or stay for the entire event - the choice is yours! All ages are welcome, but please remember that children must be accompanied by an adult. Don't worry if you don't have a helmet; we'll have some loaner helmets available for your convenience.
Now, here's where you come in - we're in need of enthusiastic parent volunteers to help us make this event a roaring success! I'm excited to share that I've already signed up to volunteer, and I hope you'll consider joining me. Your support will play a crucial role in ensuring that our Bike Fest runs smoothly and that everyone has a fantastic time.
To sign up as a volunteer, please visit our Eagle Crest Bike Fest Volunteer Sign-Up Page. If you have any questions about the event or volunteering opportunities, feel free to reach out to Eagle Crest grandma and Bike Wiz, Lisa Evans at 970-237-1773 or via email at LCEski@comcast.net.
Let's come together as a community and make this event one to remember! Thank you in advance for your support and participation.
Wishing you all happy trails and safe rides,
Amanda

DEAN OF STUDENT'S UPDATE
Hello Eagle Crest Families!
As we move further into spring here in Colorado, it's no secret that the weather can be quite unpredictable. One day it can be warm and sunny, and the next day we could be hit with a surprise snowstorm. This ever-changing weather creates the challenge of dressing appropriately and not leaving any belongings behind. As a result of this week’s warm weather, our Lost and Found is overflowing! ☀️
That's why we want to remind everyone to check our Lost and Found for any misplaced items. Families are always welcome to come to the front of the school to check the Lost and Found, but, tomorrow (Friday),we will place the Lost and Found cart outside in front of the school during arrival and dismissal for easier access. Hopefully we can get some of your belongings back to you sooner than later!
All the best,
Lindsey Cheney
PS - We know the end of the year is quickly approaching. We have added some important dates to the list below to help families plan for some of our bigger end of year events! 📆

PTO UPDATE
Dear Eagle Crest Families,
PTO is trying something a bit different for the restaurant fundraiser this month; instead of visiting a restaurant on a specific night, families will have the entire month of April to order meal kits from Little Caesars! Read on for details on easy dinners and for more information on Bike Fest!
As always, thank you for your support of Eagle Crest students and staff through our PTO.
Sincerely,
Katie Lancaster, President
Here is what you need to know:
April 1st-30th, click here to visit the Eagle Crest PTO Little Caesers fundraising page.
Choose from personal pizzas, family-size options, desserts, and more.
Purchase meal kits online, and FedEx will ship directly to your door (one shipping cost no matter how many kits ordered so stock up for a great cause!).
These kits can be used right away or frozen for later use.
For every kit sold, approximately 25% comes back to our school!
A great thing about this fundraiser is that family and friends in other states can order, and the funds help our students! So please, share our link far and wide.
Bike Fest!
PTO is happy to be assisting Lisa Evans (grandma to kindergartener Daniel) in a Bike Fest at Eagle Crest! Learn to ride, show off your skills and enjoy the afternoon with (food truck link) and fun with friends! The PTO will be supplying a limited number of helmets for those who need them and we are looking for adults willing to help make this bike party a success! Click here to volunteer Sunday, April 14, anytime between 1-4 pm. If you know any middle or high school students needing service hours before the end of the school year, please share this opportunity!
APPLY FOR FREE AND REDUCED FEES
While students will no longer be charged for lunch or breakfast, we encourage all families to complete the Free & Reduced Fees Application. This not only benefits your family but also supports our school in terms of funding, staffing, and reduced fees for activities. Remember to renew this application annually for access to various benefits.
Apply for free and reduced fees today to take advantage of these opportunities!
LUNCH MENU
You can now find the monthly Lunch Menu at LINQCONNECT. This online system allows you to filter for allergens and see the Breakfast Menu. You change between Breakfast and Lunch in the upper left hand corner.
SPECIALS COLOR DAY ROTATION
Eagle Crest's specials follow a three-day rotation: RED, YELLOW, PURPLE. Every month, a new calendar is provided, outlining the rotation. This helps your family plan and ensure the right shoes are ready for PE activities.
