Nurses Corner
Warm Weather Tips-
For safety here in school, please remember to:
- Encourage your child to wear tennis shoes on the playground. Sandals and high-heeled shoes lend themselves to injuries.
- Use of sunscreen, SPF 30 or higher and reapplying often, sunglasses and hats are valuable in protecting your children from prolonged exposure to the sun (over 20 mins). Relocate into the shade and out of the direct sun when possible.
- Encourage increased water intake during warm weather. Children dehydrate more quickly than adults.
- With the increased tick population, be sure to check your child for ticks after playing outside especially if you live near a wooded area.
Reminder - Any time your child has received additional immunizations, please forward a verified photocopy to the school nurse so your child's health record can be updated.
Meet the Helpful Faces...
On April 3rd we celebrated Paraprofessional Day. Without the support of these dedicated men and women, Eagle View would not be as spectacular as it is. They are such positive influences on our students and supports to our teachers day in and day out. They make an impact everyday to the building as a whole. We are so appreciative to have each of them as a part of our family.
We would like to introduce Mrs. Shipley, Mrs. Paul, Mrs. Patton, Mrs. Bowers, Ms. Morocco (recently retired after years of service), Mrs. Coddington, Mr. Strohmier, Mrs. Croyle & Mrs. Worsham. You recently were introduced to our new educational assistant Mrs. Crowe in our library. Let's not forget her.
Book Worms Galore!
Shown above are 5th grade students who reach a million or in Jace Swinger's case, two million words!
Bouncin' and Ballin'
As students earn 50 SOAR tickets or won their class's reading competition, they are able to purchase Ballin' with Cacciotti! Pictures below showcase students making signs for their players and some action shots of teachers playing with students!
Solar Eclipse Party
Students were asked to stay after school to enjoy some 'solar' -themed snacks and activities while also partaking in watching the eclipse!
Musical Showcase
Eagle View students were given the opportunity to witness the high school's production of The Music Man! What a show it was!
