Mrs. Palmer brings in some farm learning.
As an end of year Spring Unit we began incubating chicken eggs from my farm. My idea with this would be to increase student engagement as we close out the school year as well as learn about how animals and organisms grow and change over time. We followed hatching guidelines, reading temperature and humidity levels daily, and kept a calendar of events to reference each day. Students have enjoyed the process but hatching day as been the most exciting for all of us! They are looking forward to helping take care of them for the next week or so until they go to their new home at the "Palmer Funny Farm".
