LISD Expect Excellence Newsletter
February 19th, 2024
Hello Levelland ISD!
We have so many great accomplishments to celebrate. As you go through your day, think about all the success you and your students are having. Always try to identify one great thing, one great conversation, one great idea, or one great action. Celebrate these with your students on a daily basis. It is amazing how quick the positivity will spread.
Enjoy your week.

All Things LISD..................
Stack 'Em Up!
Capitol students in Mrs. Kristy Sanders' PE class are always moving! Mrs. Sanders #expectsexcellence and shares her students using the giant Speed Stack Cups purchased with the LIFE Grant she received earlier this year. Students have learned the skill of stacking normal-sized Speed Stack Cups and then they had to rethink and got to do relay races with the giant cups. These cups are good for improving hand-eye coordination, bilateral coordination, visual processing, information processing, attention, and focus. They also help improve math and reading skills! Thank you Mrs. Sanders, for keeping your kids learning and fit at the same time!
Goodies with Guardians!
South Elementary hosted their Goodies with Guardians last week and had a terrific turnout! It was fun getting up and showing up just a little early to make this day special for kids! South sends out a huge thank you to their Cafeteria Staff for arriving at 4 am to make the cinnamon rolls and to Mrs. Combs and Mrs. Gomez for organizing the event.
