Mr. Posick's final weekly email

Good morning, Merton families! This is my final family smore. I am fortunate to have been the Merton Intermediate School principal for the last 15 years. I have so many fond memories of our students, of conversations that I've had with you, of concerts and crossing guard duty, and of being in classrooms watching our amazing teachers provide opportunities for our students to learn. Merton will always have a special place in my heart but it's time for a new chapter, a new beginning with more time with my family and the opportunity to work with other educators, other schools, and other districts. Thank you for allowing me to be just a little part of your child's Merton Schools experience. It has been an honor and a privilege.

Congratulations to our Mustang Magazine contributors on their June issue which contains some information about Celebration Day, the summer, and me. You can find the link here.

We are excited to announce that the 2022-23 Merton Theater Company musical will take place next fall. We will reveal the chosen production at Open House and have full information packets and cast/crew calendars available at that time. For your planning purposes, here are the key dates for our fall timeline.

Tentative Audition Dates: 9/14-9/16

Mandatory Rehearsals: 11/7-11/16

Performance Dates: 11/17-11/19

We look forward to another great production and can’t wait to showcase all of the amazing talent here at Merton!

As we look forward to future staffing and the possibility of some driver retirements, we were hoping that you could run a notice for “driving the bus” in your weekly newsletter or other forms of parent/community communication publications. The bus driving opportunity is perfect for stay at home moms, retirees, and others who work part time or have mornings or afternoons free.

Coach Witte has asked me to share this information with you regarding the Arrowhead Girls Basketball Summer Camps.
