February Issue
A Message from Our Principal
Welcome to February and the ‘heart’ of the school year. This is a great time of the school year as everything is in full swing. We celebrated the 100th Day of School this past Monday and students are well along their way through the year’s curriculum; learning new concepts and mastering those from previous years. This is a great time of the school year to recognize the growth that each student has made so far this year and how exciting it is to be able to work with the many gifts and talents each student has been blessed with.
The days can be slow, but the years seem to go fast. We are already planning for the upcoming 2022-23 school year and beyond. We invite current families to register for the 2022-23 school year when priority registration begins on Monday, Feb. 7. Registration opens to the general public on Feb. 22.
On Thursday, Feb. 17 we are celebrating Grandparents/VIP Day at our Patriotic GP/VIP Day event prior to the long President’s Day Holiday weekend in which we are closed Friday, Feb. 18 – Monday, Feb. 21. All of this as we work our way towards the end of the second trimester which ends Friday, Feb. 25.
March will bring our PTF live Online Auction event, March 4-11. Thanks to all of the amazing Parent Teacher Fellowship (PTF) volunteers who are working so hard to make this event successful. Please plan to participate in this event in some form (bid, donate, or volunteer).
I am excited as we look forward to the spring and the upcoming 2022-2023 school year with this amazing community of gifted teachers, dedicated staff, and supportive parents who all work tirelessly in partnership for top notch Christian Education of children here at RHLS on a daily basis.
Blessings,
Dr. Paul Marquardt, Principal

February Teaching Series "Opposite Day"

Sunday, February 27th
OVERVIEW:
Opposite Day – A Four-Week Series from the New Testament on Jesus’ Teachings
This teaching series will give us a chance to talk with kids about the counter-culture things Jesus said. It sounds impossible to believe that struggles bring us closer to Jesus, or that our enemies can teach us about love. However, these beautiful opposites remind us that a God we can’t see is always with us and that it’s better to

JANUARY TEACHING SERIES: DISTINCT
If someone asked who you are, what would you say? Maybe you'd say your name. Or maybe you’d say, "I'm a musician. A basketball player. A friend. A daughter or son. I'm a human!" Those things might be true, but have you ever felt like you’re still figuring out who you are, what you’re good at, or why you’re here? In this 4-week series, the stories of Jesus and John the Baptist, and the words of Paul, will help us see why discovering who Jesus is helps us discover who we’re meant to be. Not only is Jesus distinct from anyone who has ever lived, but God made us distinct too, with distinct gifts we can use to serve God and others, and unique distinctions that are worth celebrating.
