General Updates
Instructional Technology Support
During the fall semester, I have worked with each of your campus technology specialists to develop campus goals and a campus focus. We have also discussed at great length preparation for data collection for the Digital Literacy portion of the Campus and Student Engagement report that will be submitted this spring. Based on our meetings and the district-wide monthly meetings, you should expect your specialist to be able to do the following:
- assess PD needs for your campus
- schedule campus-based PD to meet the needs of your staff
- recommend district level PD to meet the needs of your staff
- connect measurable strategies to the campus technology plan & goals, and include those in the Campus Action Plan
- complete walkthroughs that specifically focus on classroom technology integration
- plan with teachers and model lessons that incorporate the Technology Application TEKS into core curriculum (K-8 only)
- accurately track data needed for documentation of Digital Learning Environments for the CASE report
Digital Learning Environment Support (HB5/CASE)
In addition to the support that is offered during the monthly ITS meetings, I am available to support to your campus and/or specialist in the following ways:
- delivering campus-based professional development to help meet teacher PD hour performance measure (3 hour minimum).
- assisting new campus technology specialists with completing campus-based Level 1 Technology Training for teachers who need it.
- working with content specialists and teachers to plan lessons that integrate Technology TEKS into core content lessons (student tech. competency performance measure)
- working with teams/departments to develop Digital Learning Environments so that students have access to classroom resources 24/7
Should you have any additional or campus-specific needs, please do not hesitate to reach out. I'm here to support you!
