A Message From Your Principal

Dear Village Families,

One Week to Go!

A few quick announcements:

SPIRIT DAYS TO CELEBRATE THE LAST WEEK OF SCHOOL!

Tuesday: Pajama Day

Thursday: Field Day/Happy Birthday Village
Friday: Yellow and Blue Day

CONGRATULATIONS, ROOM 14!!! This is no joke--Mrs. Rinehart’s 5th grade class took the prize for most words read during the 2020-2021 school year with a grand total of…32,367,800 words read! WOW!

CONGRATULATIONS, VILLAGE!!! And, the grand total of all the words read by all Village students this year… 97,680,681 words! WOW! We have already set our goal for next year to reach at least 100,000,000 words. I know the Eagles can do it!

THANK YOU, CLASSIFIED STAFF! Last week we celebrated Classified Staff Appreciation Week. I would like to to this opportunity to share my DEEP APPRECIATION of our classified staff. They have made it possible to have students in person for this last month of school. The are temperature-checking, running recess games, providing PE activities, preparing food, keeping kids safe, and all-around ensuring the smooth running of school! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! We have an AMAZING staff here at Village!

THANK YOU, PARENTS! I would also like to thank you--our Village Parents. You have had to pivot, swivel, adjust, adhere, rearrange, reschedule, home-school, and so much more to help us provide school this year! We so very much appreciate your patience and flexibility as we navigated safety protocols, regulations, ever-shifting information, uncertainty, stress, and so much more! This is a truly supportive and amazing Village community.

Yearbooks on sale!

Yearbooks are now available to be ordered online. Purchase online until May 31st. Total costs is $22.25. ($20 for Yearbook and $2.25 credit card security fee).

Any left over yearbooks will be available for sale ($22 exact cash only) first come first served for purchase after June 1st.

Reporting your students absence

If you child is going to be absent from school due illness, appointment or other reason please contact the Village School office at (707)545-5754 and press 1 for the attendance line. Please leave your child's name, teacher, the date you called, the reason for the absence. If illness please leave details of symptoms. Thank you.

If you are having technology issues and you are unable to get onto a zoom please also contact the school attendance line.
