Haiku Deck

Tech Tribe Badge Challenges allow teachers the opportunity to learn and integrate tech tools in their classrooms. Completing the challenge for a tech tool makes teachers eligible for a "Tech Tribe" badge for their work. Badges can be proudly displayed by their classroom door to let everyone know how fabulous they are at integrating technology! Teachers work hard at their own pace to complete Challenges such as Google Classroom, Google Drive, Poll Everywhere, Nearpod, Pear Deck, Plickers, Digital Citizenship, and many more. Once you have completed the challenge, complete a Badge Form to receive a Tech Tribe Badge as a reward and recognition for your commitment to moving our students toward college and career readiness.

Haiku Deck is a free app that makes presentations simple, beautiful, and fun.

The educator will create a Haiku Deck presentation to use for a lesson.

2. Haiku Deck User Guide

1. Create a free account in Haiku Deck.

2. Decide on the learning target/objective that will be accomplished.

3. Have students work together to create various presentations in Haiku Deck.

Elementary teachers: Teachers will set up a generic classroom account for all students to use. Secondary teachers: Students will need to set up their own Haiku Deck account.

4. Choose 2 student presentations to submit in your badge request.

5. Students will select the "Share" button and email you their link.

1. Share and submit two student links to your students' Haiku Deck presentations in your badge request form.

2. Write a brief reflection about what you learned from the experience. Be sure to include any successes or frustrations encountered.
