Wethersfield District #230
It’s the most wonderful, and sometimes stressful, time of the year. We have entered the Holiday Season and it is full of events and disruption to our usual routines. As with any change, it can be difficult to deal with successfully. Some tips would be to communicate with your child and explain what your expectations are for him/her in terms of participation and behavior. If there is anything the caring staff at Wethersfield Schools can do to help you or your child, please reach out to their teacher, principal, or me.
I look forward to seeing you at our upcoming concerts, basketball games, and this Sunday at the Student Council hosted Christmas Festival here in the Blish parking lot. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to me.
It is a gift each day to work with your children. Thank you for sharing them with us!
~ Dr. Brooks, Superintendent
End of Semester

It is very important for our students to remain focused and make the most of the end of the semester before semester grades and credits are determined! Last year our families and friends found the following Concert Etiquette tips useful as a reminder......
Always remain quiet during a performance.
Be attentive and give the performers your attention.
Be Considerate of others.
Do not leave early, please.
Exit in an organized fashion.
Expect a Fantastic performance; the kids have worked very hard.
Give appropriate applause.
Have a great time, but be a considerate member of the audience.
Invite your relatives to come see an outstanding concert.
EnJoy the concert but always treat it as a formal event.
Keep your children that are not performing, with you during the concert.
Leave your cell phone turned off or on silent during the performance, please.
Model active listening; by watching all performances during the concert.
Be Nice to those seated around you.
Stay On your seat at all times for the duration of the programs.
Pickup your Elementary students from their classrooms after all students have left the gym.
Quiet any children seated with you as sometimes the performers have little voices to be heard.
Remain in the gym until all classes have left.
Say "thank you" to the music staff as they have worked hard to make these performances happen.
Tune into to all performances not just your student(s).
Please USE the restroom and get drinks before entering the gym.
Applaud as the students have worked VERY hard.
Waving distracts the performers...please clap instead.
Get eXcited for a great performance.
Yelling is for a Kenny Chesney concert....not a school performance.
Get your ZZZ's before the performance...because there's no sleeping at school :)
