In this edition we highlight a few of the many things happening at STCMS!
Also, on Thursday, February 1st we will begin our annual Sarris Candies Fundraiser. It will run from 2/1-2/15/24, with a delivery date the week of March 18th.

#1: Stay in the Loop
OMEA District 9 Honor Band
Congratulations to our band members who represented St. C at the OMEA District 9 Honor Band event. An all-star event for band members, these students rehearsed along with other top young musicians from our district, culminating with an evening performance held at Marietta High School. Those students selected were Erika Richards, clarinet; Jamison Young, alto saxophone; Greigh Schnelle, alto saxophone; Hannah Sattler, trumpet; Eila Vcelka, trumpet; Aidan Everson, trumpet; Ezekiel Tanner, euphonium; Morgan Lowe, Tuba.
2024 StC Jr. High Track and Field PARENT MEETING
This meeting will provide vital information about schedules, uniforms, FINAL FORMS information, expectations and more. Please do your best to attend. Those that can not attend, please have your student athlete see Coach Florence at school the following day to pick up any handouts and/or additional info.
- Meeting will be held Monday, February 12 at 6p.m. in the Cafetorium

#2: What's Coming Up
St. C Singers Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser
On Thursday, February 8th, the St. Clairsville High School, St. C Singers will be hosting their annual Spaghetti Dinner. This is your one and only opportunity to view their 2024 candy filled show, Sweet Singsations! Dinners are available for purchase at the door for $12. Performances by the St. C Singers and Sweet Harmony will be every half hour, from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Whether you’re a licorice lover, a gummy guru, a chocoholic, or someone who just enjoys the occasional sugar rush, “Sweet Singsations” is sure to have you singing along, dancing in your seat and always craving more.
- Dinner from 4:30p.m. to 7:30p.m.
- Cost is $12 per dinner at the door
- Singers and Sweet Harmony rotate performances every 30 minutes between 5p.m.-7p.m.

#3 In Case You Missed It
6th Grade Microscope Lab Experiments
Students in Mr Bush’s 6th grade Science class were able to view various specimens under a microscope. Students were required to describe each one as well as distinguish between Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cell types.

We are very proud of our Jr. High Wrestling team for placing 5th overall at the Jr. High OVC wrestling tournament over the weekend! Placing for the team were:
