LAKEVIEW ELEMENTARY
NOVEMBER 2020 NEWSLETTER
MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
I can't believe that November has already arrived! What an amazing adventure these first few months have been. I've not only had the opportunity to get to know more and more Lakeview students and families, but I've enjoyed getting to know the Lakeview staff! It is an incredible blessing to be surrounded by supportive and dedicated educators who show up each day to put students first! I appreciate all of the hard work that has gone into not only a safe return, but also providing the academic rigor we are used to seeing in Solon.
We are definitely stronger together!
Take care,
Mrs. Tabor
VIRTUAL PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES & REPORT CARDS
- P/T conferences will be on November 12 and 19 from 2pm-7pm
- All conferences will be virtual. You should have received a sign up genius and zoom link from your child's teacher. Let us know if you have any questions.
- Report cards will be sent home on Monday, November 9
FRIENDLY OFFICE REMINDERS
- Lost and found items will be removed on December 1st.
- Student safety is our number one priority during drop off/pick up times. Please adhere to the signs and traffic expectations. Tier 1 (closest to the sidewalk) is for drop off and pick up only. Cars should not be parked in that area. If you need to park, please use the tier 2 and 3 parking spots.
- Student drop off in the morning is from 7:50am-8:05am. The school day starts promptly at 8:10am.
- Student pick up/dismissal on early release days is 1:39pm. Student pick up/dismissal is at 3:05pm on regular days.
- Please drive slow in the parking lot and drop off/pick up areas and be mindful of students who may be crossing.
- As we approach the colder months, please help remind your child(ren) to bring their jacket to school. Unless there is inclement weather, recess will be outside. It is important that students come to school with the proper outdoor accessories.
COVID-19 ILLNESS PLAN - REMINDER FROM MRS. ELIJAH
We ask that prior to sending your student(s) to school each day that you review the following questions. If the answer is yes to any of these questions, please keep your child home from school.
- Has your child had a fever or taken medicine for a fever in the last 24 hours?
- Is your child feeling ill?
- Has your child developed a cough in the past 24 hours?
- Has your child had any other symptoms of illness?
If you do keep your child home from school, please call the school to report their absence. When you do report an absence, the school will ask you a few questions regarding the symptoms your child is experiencing. Additionally, if you must leave a message, please share the reasons why your child is ill including the symptoms.
Health Information
If your child had developed any new health concerns since they last attended school, please contact the school nurse.
