A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Families and Supporters,
Tomorrow is our Walk-A-Thon! We want to thank everyone who has contributed or helped their child(ren) to collect donations to support our efforts in building a new playground for grades PreK-2. We are so appreciative. If you have not yet handed in your pledge sheet or donations, you can do so tomorrow but we will collect these next week as well, should your child become MORE motivated following this fun event.
Here are a couple of important notes:
1. PARKING LOT:
It will be a challenge to enter the parking lot between 9:00-9:45. We will have Rye PD support but if you can avoid entering at this time, we would appreciate it.
2. ASSEMBLY:
The assembly will be our kick off to the walk-a-thon. We will not have chairs because we will be transitioning out to the playground immediately following. We do ask that when the assembly is over that all visitors remain in the gym until the children are all outside first.
3. FOOD:
Common Roots/Mr. Wehbe are donating food and MUSIC for this event. He has been wonderful about accommodating for food restrictions/allergies and the food will be dairy and nut free with gluten free food options as well.
4. WALKING:
Students will ALL begin on the Leaping Lizards parking lot. We are asking that students walk with their peers and teachers. All family members can stand around the route and cheer (we have bubbles too:). We have practiced the route with all the children and it is a little tight but we would love a big cheer section! Any staff member can walk with the children but some will be stationed around for supervision/safety.
Again, we are so excited and thankful for your support!!!
We truly appreciate you,
Michelle Pitts

THIS WEEK...
PROJECT 1: ANYONE!
We are looking for clean, empty chicken feed/bird seed bags.
PROJECT 2: Grade 4 Parents!
Be on the lookout for a project that fourth graders will need to work on for the yearbook! You may want to start thinking about some fun pictures or memories from your child's experience at RES.

2. Partners Bank is running a promotion where if you open an " Ultimate Checking" account for you or your child they will donate up to $50 to the playground fund. Great way to start a 1st time account for a child at our local bank! Please see attached flyer for more details!
