As we approach the beginning of the 2023-24 school year, I am thrilled to extend a warm welcome back to our wonderful Brookhaven Elementary School community!

The start of a new school year is always an exciting time, full of promise and possibilities. Our dedicated team of educators and staff have been hard at work preparing to provide your children with a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. We are committed to fostering a love of learning, promoting academic excellence, and nurturing the social and emotional growth of each and every student.

Our commitment to maintaining open lines of communication with you remains unwavering. Each week, you will receive "The Paw Print" newsletter with important dates, messages, and information for you and your students. We encourage you to reach out to us with any questions, suggestions, or concerns you may have.

We understand that the health and safety of our students, staff, and families continue to be a top priority. Rest assured that we will closely follow any guidelines provided by health authorities to ensure a safe and secure learning environment.

To kick off the school year, we will be hosting a "Back-to-School Night" for grades first through sixth on September 7, 2024 at 6:00 pm. This event will provide you with the chance to meet your child's teacher, learn about the curriculum, and get a glimpse of the exciting experiences that await our students.

Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of educating and nurturing your children. Together, we will make the 2023-24 school year a memorable and successful one. We look forward to seeing familiar faces and welcoming new ones as we embark on this journey together. Here's to a year filled with growth, discovery, and achievement!

Cube Club is returning to Brookhaven!

Cube Club is open to students in grades 1-6. The program is starting on September 11, 2023 and runs for 7 weeks.

Dear PYLUSD Community,

The first day of school is next Tuesday, August 29, 2023. We look forward to welcoming our students, staff, and families to a brand-new year filled with endless possibilities and opportunities for growth! Our school community has a longstanding tradition of excellence, collaboration, and innovation, and this year will be no different. Everyone will play a vital role in shaping a successful year ahead.

To realign our vision as a district, I recently outlined my thoughts about education today and our plans for the future of PYLUSD as a part of my State of the School District Address. I shared this message with district leaders, teachers, and local community partners; however, I also wanted to share it with the rest of our community. Placentia-Yorba Linda Unified School District Superintendent Dr. Alex Cherniss will host four community advisory committees throughout the 2023-2024 school year. The purpose of each committee will be to discuss district plans and allow parents and guardians the opportunity to provide valuable feedback. The committees will meet with Dr. Cherniss online via Zoom once every two months. More information about this opportunity and the form to apply are available at https://forms.gle/9qydfjrJn6LcsDQA6.
