Clint ISD & Youth Leadership Now
23/24 School Year - IDRA Pilot Program Update
Clint ISD First Semester
Clint ISD is piloting a cross-aged tutoring program with IDRA Youth Leadership Now. The MOA was signed on June 27, 2023. The program places eighth-grade at-risk, high-need students in leadership positions as tutors of second grade students to develop their academic mindsets and provide students mentoring support from teacher-mentors as they prepare to transition from middle school to high school. Clint ISD pilot campuses are Clint Junior High and Horizon Middle School.
Changing Mindsets
YLN increases the following beliefs in students:
1. I belong in this school;
2. My ability and competence grow with this effort;
3. I can succeed; and
4. This academic work has value.
