Absence Reporting
We now have three different ways to report an absence.
- Report an absence online by clicking on this link.
- Call the Office at 720-652-8101
- Email our Attendance Clerk, Nicole Lee at lee_nicole@svvsd.org
We are required to verify absences that are not reported. Please help us with this requirement by notifying us as soon as possible so that we do not have to bother you at home or at work.
Thank you for your cooperation as we are committed in keeping your child and our staff members health and safety a priority.
Jog-A-Thon
Please remember to have your student bring in all of their donations and give them to their teacher. There is still time to make donations. You can make online donations through the PTO website, by clicking here or scanning the PayPal QR Code below. When donating through PayPal, please make sure to note the students name to ensure they receive credit for the donation.
Thank you!
NED's Mindset Mission Assembly
NED’s Mindset Mission Assembly is visiting our 2-5th graders on Sept. 28th! NED and our students take a journey to find their positive mindset. The show is filled with storytelling, humor, illusions and amazing yo-yo tricks where our kids learn the hidden message in NED's name:
Never give up — understand The Power of YET
Encourage others — spark courage in other people
Do your best® — always be learning and growing
Our school has received this assembly at no cost as part of NED's "pay it forward" program. We have the opportunity to provide this assembly for other schools through the purchase of NED yo-yos. PTO will be selling yo-yos before school on Sept. 29th through Oct. 5th from 7:55am-8:20am. The yo-yos will remind our kids of Ned's message! Yo-Yos will be for sale for all grade levels! Look for more information coming home in Thursday folders next week.
Kids Night Out!
The first Kids Night Out is September 30th! Come show your support and help Silver Creek raise money for PSA!
This year Kids Night Out is partnering with a club at Silver Creek High School called Peace and Service for Africa. PSA raises money for the International Peace Initiative who puts the money toward kids in Maru, Kenya who are looking for higher education. With the money made from both of these, we hope to support more kids who are looking for a higher education. All the funds made at KNO will be put towards PSA.This project is important to us because we have seen and experienced the benefits Kids Night Out gives to children. Kids Night Out provides a great place for your child to socialize in a healthy and safe environment. They get to try new things and have multiple outlets to express themselves and have fun. Ellery and I greatly enjoyed going to Kids Night Out when we were little and are excited to run it this year. The reason why we are supporting Peace and Service for Africa is because we have both been a part of the club. The club has also helped with making friendships and connecting students with other students across the world. It’s important that everyone is given the same opportunities for education and sometimes in places this is not true. We want to help bridge this gap and support kids in Maru, Kenya seeking a higher education.

Gifted and Talented Referrals
Each year, schools in St. Vrain Valley School District complete a process to identify students who demonstrate exceptional ability or performance in one or more academic areas and may, therefore, qualify for Gifted/Talented educational services. These students usually perform at least two years above grade level in their strength area(s), and they require additional academic challenges in order to support their continued educational growth and progress. In addition, they usually demonstrate characteristics of unique creativity and high motivation in their strength areas.
Referrals are open through the month of September and will close on the last day of the month. Referrals after that date will be addressed on a case by case basis. Completing a referral guarantees a review of the student profile to determine if testing is recommended for the student. The process for identification requires a body of evidence and often takes place throughout the school year.
The process takes approximately 5-10 minutes to complete.
Please click below for the Referral Form.
Crackpots
Anyone can participate... Simply paint in September and tell us the name of your school at checkout. No need to plan ahead, but it's a great chance to gather friends or family!
