LEGO ENGINEERING & ROBOTICS SUMMER CAMP
For students entering 3rd grade and up in the Fall of 2021
Each day we will incorporate the construction and programming of a different LEGO Mindstorm Robot and then complete challenges and competitions. Lunch will be on-site (bring your own lunch) with a different activity for each day. Campers will receive their own box of LEGO’s for afternoon build challenges that they get to take home at the end of the week.

Painting Grades 3-5

Students will create original works of art using a variety of painting techniques and materials. Instruction will include, watercolor, pastel, acrylic and oil painting techniques. Students will complete 4-6 projects during Art Camp. Materials are included in the fee.

Students will create original works of art using a variety of sculpture materials. Materials will include wire, clay, paper mache, plaster, floral foam, and assemblage with found objects. This class will focus on wheel throwing and handbuilding with clay before moving to other sculptural materials. Materials are included in the fee.

AP Grades 9-11

Students will work to advance their AP portfolio work in 2-D, 3-D, or Drawing. The goal for the session is to allow students to better understand the goals and process for the portfolio submission for AP courses in Art. Students do not need to be currently enrolled in Advanced Placement Art classes to attend. Students will formulate a mini concentration based on a question and then revise one work of art before a peer critique. Materials are included in the camp fee.
Mixed Media Art Camp Grades 6-8

Instruction will include collage, fibers, gelli plate printing, watercolor, pastel, and other mixed media techniques. Students will complete 4-6 projects during Art Camp.
