The Rambler Nation is built on Tradition, Pride and Progress. We will continue to update current and future projects as we create the Attica Community Campus. We are excited for the opportunities coming for students, staff and community members

The "New" Attica Elementary School continues to make progress and is on-schedule to open for our 24-25 school year. The building is now covered and under roof. Portable heaters have arrived for crews to work throughout the winter months. Brick exterior has been completed on the back of the building and is now moving to the front/main entrance section.

The projected Phase Two of construction is moving quickly from the planning stages to beginning construction. The current football/track stadium (Lewis Bruce Jr. Field) will be relocated to the future K-12 Attica CSC campus. A multi-purpose stadium will be constructed to host physical education, football, band, and track. The facility will host youth and community soccer, practice areas for both baseball and softball and a community walking track. Adjacent to the stadium will be a 6 court tennis facility that will expand to 12 pickle ball courts for community use. We will continue to show progress over the coming months. The goal is for the facility to host the first home football game by the beginning of September 24. Also included in Phase 2 updates will be a new roof for the Jr-Sr. HS, new entry/exit doors and locks, new classroom furniture and hallway upgrades. As updates begin we will share progress images.

Phase Three of construction projects will be a renovated pool that will be available for use by the school and community. We will share projected designs in upcoming newsletters.

Re-thinking existing space, the former weight room has been renovated and turned into the "FLEX" room. This renovated space will be used as a classroom, staff professional development room, team and community meeting space. Re-purposing and renovating used tables, clearance chairs, new carpet, paint and a technology grant from the WHIN foundation and our new space is ready for full use post Fall Break!

On November 10th the Attica CSC Veterans Memorial will be "officially" dedicated during the annual Veterans Day Ceremony. Seven flags will be raised to honor POW"s, the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Space Force. It is our hope we can honor Veterans from Attica and beyond as part of the community campus.

We were honored to present a Sagamore of Attica Award to Mr. Paul Pfedderer. Paul has served as the financial consultant/cfo for Attica CSC for the past several years during central office transitions. Mr. Pfedderer was the CFO for Crawfordsville Schools for the majority of his career and is widely respected amongst his peers. Attica CSC and the entire community have benefited from his meticulous review of Attica CSC finances, advice and suggestions. We are lucky that Mr. Pfedderer continues to choose Attica and we are honored to make him a forever family member with a Sagamore of Attica Award.

Attica CSC has been awarded the prestigious Corporation Award. This goes to school corporations that raise at least one dollar for every students that attends the school district. Attica CSC far exceeded this number and was also awarded a 22-23 Riley Red Wagon Award for the elementary school. Attica Jr-Sr HS achieved a Red Wagon Award in 2019. All of this is possible due to the empathy and generosity of the Red Rambler Nation.

AHS students Eli French and Adyson Goodwin were recognized for their Student Council Co-Sponsors Mrs. Crane and Mrs. Mattern. Student Council has been very busy this fall planning Homecoming and the upcoming Veterans Day Ceremony.

Senior Athletes were recognized at the recent School Board of Trustees meeting. Athletes representing Football, Volleyball, Girls Golf, Cross Country and Cheerleading were honored.

I hope everyone had a nice Fall Break. Somehow we have blinked and we are almost to November. This is the part of the school year where time will seem to fly by. Thanksgiving Break is only three and half weeks away and as of the writing this newsletter we are only 59 days until Christmas!

Some events to keep in mind, November 5th is our Fall Back time with daylight savings. On November 10th we will continue our lasting tradition of honoring those who have served our country with our Veterans Day Ceremony. This year we are adding a permanent memorial at the entrance to our community campus to honor Veterans from Attica and beyond.

Construction continues on the new Attica Elementary and work will begin soon on a new roof and exterior doors for Attica Jr-Sr HS. The fall sports season has come to a close as we now approach winter athletics. Next week will will conduct a TEST only phone call to try out our new phone alert system. This will be used for inclement weather or emergency calls. I will not jinx anything by saying it is too early for snow because in Indiana it can be 70 degrees on Monday, and snowing by Friday!
