Longmont Estates has organized our annual Giving Tree this year for our community. If you are needing help providing gifts for children this year, please stop by the office and pick up a gift request form. The information will be confidential. If you have older or younger children outside of LEE, please feel free to request additional gift forms. Please return forms to the office by Wednesday, December 7th.

If you (or your child, with your permission) would like to select an ornament and purchase the items, please stop by the school and take an ornament off the tree. As a reminder, we request that all gifts be returned to the front office no later than NOON on Tuesday, December 20th. We ask that gifts be wrapped with the tag taped to the outside of the package. Thank you for your generous spirit!

We are very excited to announce that Longmont Estates Elementary will once again participate, with other schools in the district, in our Annual Food Drive. In the past we have collected close to 40,000 pounds of food district wide and we hope to exceed that number this year. LEE's annual food drive is December 1st- December 9th. All the food collected will benefit the Longmont Our Center. Please click here for a list of items that the Our Center is needing to support our local community. Please help out, if you can!!

Service Project Club is also collecting gently used outerwear and blankets. Service Club will be in the lobby during the week of December 12th to tally all of the items. The classroom with the most donations will earn a party of their choice.

As a reminder, students who are not in their classroom by 8:25 a.m. are considered tardy. If a student is tardy to school, a family member is required to walk their child into the front office and sign them in. Any students leaving school early for any reason, must be signed out from the office by an authorized adult. Thank you.

Just a reminder that Wednesday, December 7th is a District Late Start day. School begins 2 1/2 hours later than normal. Buses run 2 1/2 hours later than their morning pick up time. Students may arrive on campus at 10:40AM. The first bell will ring at 10:50AM and the late bell will ring at 10:55AM. Breakfast will not be served. Preschool will have a normal start to their school day.

Please complete the survey below and consider joining St. Vrain Valley Nutrition Services' Parent Advisory Committee. We have created a space to give feedback on menu items and those menu items that support students' special dietary needs. First virtual meeting is January 25th, 2023.

St. Vrain Valley elementary schools and preschools are invited to participate in the District’s annual Winter Break Reading Challenge.

Participating schools will utilize the myOn reader program to record the number of minutes read by their students over Winter break.

As planning begins for the 2023-2024 school year, there are some important dates that are approaching that you need to put on your calendar:

• Preschool Registration: More information will be coming soon!
• Kindergarten/1st-12th Grade Registration: December 1, 2022-December 16, 2022: Submit applications. December 1 through December 16 is the period in which applications for enrollment should be submitted to the requested school. *Please note: 5th grade students who are presently attending Longmont Estates under open enrollment are not guaranteed open enrollment in our feeder middle school (Westview Middle School). If you do not want to go to your neighborhood middle school, you will need to submit an online open enrollment form to the middle school you want to attend.*

To register for school, a new student must be:

• a resident of the District (proof of residency required) - if you are not a resident of our attendance area, please click here and refer to Open Enrollment
• between the ages of 5 and 18 years
• 5 years old on or before October 1, 2023 for Kindergarten or 6 years old on or before October 1, 2023 for First grade

The new student must have:

• A birth certificate
• Proof of address such as a utility bill
• Up-to-date immunization records or statement of exemption
• Evidence of a recent physical examination is requested for Preschool
• Name, address, and telephone number of last school attended
