Earth Day!

Earth Day.
Earth Day is celebrated on April 22nd, of every year. The inaugural Earth Day was celebrated on April 22nd, of 1970. During this time, nobody really cared about protecting the Earth at the rate that Americans were pumping their V8 Sedans with gasoline. When we think of air pollution, we now think of something that's bad for the environment, but back then the smell of air pollution was the smell of prosperity. There was no care about the environment, and the word was only seen as a spelling word as opposed to a major issue.
On the inaugural Earth Day, over 20 million Americans were in streets, parks, and auditoriums for peaceful demonstrations regarding healthy, sustainable environments in the form of massive rallies. Colleges and Universities organized protests in opposition to the deterioration of the environment.
Public Health.
In my opinion, Earth Day can be used to further meet public health needs because people will continue to use their voices to fight for what's right.
