Dear GMS Families,
One of the coolest things about this year so far has been having students read the morning announcements each day. We began the year with using 8th grade students to read and have now included other grade levels. Students bring such an excitement to the task, and Mr. Kay works diligently with them to prepare them and help them to feel comfortable with what they are reading. I'm so proud of our students for taking on this responsibility and demonstrating leadership in their school!
We are also so proud of all of our students who participated in All-County for Chorus, Band, and Orchestra this past week. These students have worked so hard and deserve the recognition and opportunities they've received through this great program. I'm also grateful to Mrs. Meyers, Mr. Herndon, Mr. Lewis, and Mrs. Atkins for their leadership in our awesome fine arts programs!
