STUDENTS FIRST
District Vision & Mission
VISION STATEMENT:
Be a district respected by others as a model of excellence in student achievement.
MISSION STATEMENT:
To prepare our students with exceptional character, knowledge, and skills to thrive in their changing world
From Mr. Soderberg
Hello SCC Families,
Spring anyone? I know the winter is dragging on and on but you couldn't tell by the energy in our building. After a hard push to finish the semester on a strong note we are back in the swing of the second semester. The excitement of new classes is always fun.
Before we know it, we will be preparing for sping activities, concerts, and graduation. In the meantime, our staff remains fully committed to the growth and success of all students. We work hard each day to put "students first" and guide them to be their very best.
The greatest lever we have to serve all students is through a strong partnership with our families. Thank you for your continued partnership.
Go Panthers,
Mr. Soderberg

PARKING UPDATES
New Parking Areas
HANDICAP PARKING
Multiple designated spots for handicapped parking have been added in front of the auditorium. We are pleased to offer increased easy access to our facilities.Yellow "NO-PARKING" Area Designated
We have added yellow no-parking lines in front of the building (east of the main entrance). This area should remain clear of vehicles at all times. By doing so we are maintaining space for buses and emergency vehicles. In addition, it is a safety measure that has been recommended by our school safety consultants.
Thank you for properly utilizing these areas.

Success!
This year we sponsored our first-ever ALIVE BINGO event on Thursday, January 30th at Bobtown in Roberts. This single event raised $1,147.00 to support local families. Thank you to all who supported our efforts including Mike and his amazing staff at Bobtown.
What does "students first" look like at SCC?
- We stand in the gap between what is and what could be.
- We find solutions - we don't blame kids.
- We circle around them in support - always.
- We freely give what they need.
- We recognize their poor choices and guide them to make better choices.
- We do things that are inconvenient for the adults because it's what's best for the students.
- We try the next thing because we never let them run out of chances.
- We provide physical, mental, and emotional safety - no matter what.
- We model what we expect.
- We love all of them.
