Welcome back Mrs. Rippey!
2021 YWCA - Young Woman of Excellence Award Winner ~ Kathryn Schluter
Each year, the YWCA of Northcentral PA requests nominations from the local high schools for their "Young Woman of Excellence." These local nominees are celebrated at their Annual Celebration, and one female senior receives the distinction of being named the Young Wise Woman of the year. The Young Woman of Excellence is one who demonstrates the following qualities: integrity, strength of character and leadership, active participation in her community and school as a volunteer, active club or service member, a positive mentor or role model to other students and an understanding and appreciation of the mission of the YWCA.
Kathryn Schluter was nominated to represent LTHS as our "Young Woman of Excellence" and out of the five local nominees, the YWCA selection committee officially named Kathryn the Young Wise Woman for 2021. All Young Women of Excellence nominees are invited to attend the annual tribute to Women of Excellence on Thursday, November 4. There, Kathryn will be celebrated as the Young Wise Woman of the year.
Please join us in congratulating Kathryn when you see her!
LTHS Student of the Quarter
Please join me in congratulating Grace Shaible, who was chosen as Loyalsock's Student of the Quarter!
The Williamsport/Lycoming Chamber of Commerce oversees the “Student of the Quarter” program for all of the local districts. The “Student of the Quarter” program is designed to honor students from your schools for their academic excellence, character, and positive impact on our school district.
Grace is the first of three seniors that the LTHS scholarship committee will have the honor of choosing as a "Student of the Quarter" for the 2021-22 school year.
Please be sure to congratulate Grace on this honor when you see her!
